LAUNCH INFO

Virginia is proud to be the host of some of the largest annual east coast High Power launchs of the year. This event is well supported by Tripoli and rocketry vendors. The FAA waiver has been approved for 12,000ft. Windows are possible if needed. Launch fees are $10 per day. Kids fly FREE. Gold Cards are available for $5 plus 4 hours of volunteer labor (LCO, RSO, Pad Management). Camping on site is encouraged to protect the equipment at night. Food will be available, served by the Silo. Comfort Station's will be in place. Spectators are welcomed. All approved class motors are launched, so if it's a 1/2A or Q, we will launch 'em. Friday (10am-6pm) will be Research only. Saturday and Sunday (10am- 6pm) will be certified motors only. Tripoli Insurance rules apply so please keep up to date as to what will be allowed and what is required to fly.

Tripoli Central Virginia

We are part of the National Organization of Advanced Non-Professional Rocketry, called the Tripoli Rocketry Association. Our prefecture is known officially as Tripoli East Virginia (TRA #82). Our primary interest is in High Power Rocketry but encourage flights of the lower to mid power rockets and RC rocket powered glider's , as well.
