Recovery/Electronics

Fifty feet of  1" tubular nylon cord connects the parachute to the payload section. Thirty five feet of the same cord connects the aft payload section to the booster. A 15' military parachute is used for recovery. A 4' droge chute is attached to the nose cone to pull the deployment bag and chute away from the payload section upon main ejection deployment.

Two Missile Works RRC2 altimeters are used for dual stage recovery. At apogee, a charge fires and seperates the booster and payload sections for a unstable controlled desent. At 1000', the main charge fires ejecting the nose cone and pulling the parachutes from the deployment bag.
