Fin Construction
Fin stock is constructed by laminating aircraft birch,
fiber glass, and carbon fiber.
We cut the fins to shape and air foiled them with a table saw.

8 oz glass is cut to cover the fins.

Fins are glassed.
EverGlass is applied to fill the glass weave.

Fins get a carbon fiber edge.
Fins are mounted to the Nomex/glass motor tube.
Kevlar reinforcement
Kevlar pulp & West 404 fillets
Fincan is mounted into the airframe.
8 lb foam is poured between the airframe and motor tube.
Carbon fiber is applied to the airframe above the fins.
Carbon fiber is applied to the first set of fins.
The fins are all carbon fibered, trimmed, sanded, and set up
on the rotisserie.
Epoxy coating is applied and left to spin overnight.
